Carpet cleaning

Our unique Clean & Rinse, Truck-Mounted Hot Water Extraction process begins with the application of a safe cleaning solution to loosen the soil. Our technician then sprays a specially formulated hot rinsing solution and immediately extracts it with our powerful truck-mounted unit, before the moisture can reach the backing of your carpet.

Carpets are well rinsed with excess moisture removed. Spots and stains are properly treated. Your carpets are left properly pH balanced and essentially residue-free. That's why concerns about re-soiling and spots resurfacing are virtually eliminated.

Our advanced techniques are the most effective at removing dust mites and allergens. No other system will get your carpets cleaner or more sanitary. Our system is safe for all common carpets including wool and stain-resistant carpets such as STAINMASTER®.

Note: not appropriate for some plant fibers such as sisal, jute, and seagrass.

Area rug cleaning, on location

Most area rugs (including oriental-style rugs) can be cleaned conveniently, economically, and safely right in your home. All of our rug cleaning is done on location, using the same hot water extraction process used for wall-to-wall carpet. We rinse thoroughly, treat spots, balance pH, and extract excess moisture.

Some rugs aren’t a fit for on-location cleaning. Very thin rugs, rugs with fabric borders, or plant fibers like sisal, jute, and seagrass should be sent out to an in-plant cleaner. We’re happy to recommend a trusted in-plant cleaner when that’s the right call for your rug.

Carpet & rug protection

Once your carpets or rugs have been cleaned, applying a fiber protector extends their life by reducing re-soiling and the chances of permanent staining. Much like wax on a car’s finish, a protector coats each fiber, guarding against liquid spills and dry soil.

Liquids tend to bead on the surface for easier removal. Soil particles don’t cling, making routine vacuuming more effective. Even stain-resistant carpets like STAINMASTER® need their protection rejuvenated, and some manufacturer warranties require cleaning and re-protecting within every 18 months.

We use the newest generation of Scotchgard® Protector. Our research shows it to be the most environmentally friendly and the safest protector available.

FAQ

Questions we get asked most

How long does carpet take to dry?

Typically four to eight hours. Our truck-mounted equipment extracts most of the moisture before it reaches the backing, so carpets are damp rather than wet when we leave. Damp coastal weather and shaded canyon homes sit at the longer end of that range, and we can set air movers where drying time matters.

How often should carpets be cleaned?

Every twelve to eighteen months for most homes, and more often with pets, children, or a household that comes in off the trails. Regular cleaning is what keeps grit from cutting the fibers, so it extends the life of the carpet rather than just changing how it looks.

Do you clean wool and oriental rugs?

Yes. We clean wool, STAINMASTER®, and other specialty fibers, and we clean oriental and area rugs on location so your rug never leaves your home. Fiber, dye stability, and construction all change the method, which is why we identify the rug before we quote it.

Will spots come back after cleaning?

Rarely, because we rinse rather than leave detergent behind. Resoiling and wicking are usually caused by cleaning residue left in the pile. Our process leaves carpets pH balanced and essentially residue-free, which is what keeps spots from resurfacing a week later.

Is carpet protector worth it?

On light-colored carpet, wool, and high-traffic areas, yes. Protector buys you time to blot a spill before it becomes a stain, and it makes routine vacuuming more effective. It wears off with traffic, so it is reapplied at cleaning rather than once for life.
