Upholstery

Upholstery cleaning that respects every fabric.

From silk to cotton to performance synthetics, we match gentle, residue-free cleaning to the material, with optional Scotchgard® fabric protection.

Upholstery cleaning

We use the latest cleaning techniques to remove as much soil as safely possible from your upholstery. Your sofa, chairs, and other pieces are left free of damaging residues that can cause rapid re-soiling or allergic reactions.

Our technicians are trained and experienced cleaning all common upholstery fabrics, including cotton, silk, linen, wool blends, microfiber, and synthetic performance fabrics. Each piece gets a fiber test and a cleaning method matched to its construction.

Upholstery protection

Once your upholstery has been cleaned, we can apply fabric protection to extend its life. It reduces soiling and the chances of permanent staining. Much like wax on a car’s finish, a fabric protector coats the fabric and guards against all types of liquid spills and dry soil.

Liquids bead on the surface for easier removal, and soil particles don’t cling, making routine vacuuming more effective. If your fabric originally had a protector applied at the mill, some of it will have worn off through use; a reapplication after cleaning rejuvenates that protection.

Power vacuuming for deep allergen removal

Our truck-mounted power vacuuming can be added to upholstery jobs, pulling dust, dander, and allergens out of cushions, crevices, and frames, and depositing all of it outside in our van. A particularly good choice for allergy sufferers, pet households, and pieces that haven’t been deep-cleaned in years.

FAQ

Questions we get asked most

How do you clean delicate fabrics like silk or linen?

We identify the fiber and the cleaning code first, then match the method — from low-moisture cleaning for delicate silks and linens to hot water extraction on durable synthetics. Testing an inconspicuous area for dye stability is part of every job, not an extra step.

How long does upholstery take to dry?

Usually two to six hours depending on fabric and fill. We remove as much moisture as the fabric allows, and we will tell you before we start whether a piece needs longer or should be left uncovered while it dries.

Can you get pet odor out of a sofa?

Often, yes, when the source is in the fabric and the surface of the cushion. Odor that has soaked into the foam or the frame is a different problem, and we will say so honestly at the estimate rather than sell you a cleaning that will not solve it.

Do you apply fabric protector?

Yes, on fabrics that accept it. Protector helps everyday spills sit on the surface long enough to be blotted, which matters most on light upholstery and on pieces that get daily use.
